S Williams vs Muguruza Blanco Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA French Open
by | in Tennis Predictions
Two semi-finals played in cold weather led to a final between Serena Williams and Garbine Muguruza. Williams is chasing a 22nd Grand Slam singles title but will have to play better than she did in her last four match. She may well have beaten Kiki Bertens in straight sets but was well below her best and Bertens really should have won the first set. I reckon if Williams had been up against a more experienced opponent then the world number one would never. It's reported that Williams has a thigh injury and that could well continue to hamper her in the final. That's one reason I'm taking a chance on the much younger Muguruza to get the win here. She had no problems in getting past Samantha Stosur and is reaching her best form just at the right moment. WIlliams is 3-1 up in previous meetings including last year's Wimbledon Final. Their only meeting on clay was in this tournament two years ago and Muguruza won in straight sets. I think with Williams not in top form and battling an injury it's worth taking a chance on Muguruza to get the win here.
