Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Prediction & Betting Tips -
by Devesh Jaganath in Indian Premier League Predictions
Match 30 of the 2024 Indian Premier League will see the Royal Challengers Bangalore taking on the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday afternoon. The hosts are bottom of the league standings while the visitors are fifth. The Royal Challengers have made the worst start to the campaign of any side and head into their seventh match with just two points and a net run rate of -1.124, which is the worst in the competition. Their only win to date came against the Punjab Kings in their second match, while they’ve suffered defeats against the Super Kings, Knight Riders, Super Giants, Rajasthan Royals, and most recently, the Mumbai Indians. However, despite their struggles, Virat Kohli has once again been the standout player for RCB and currently wears the orange cap with 319 runs in six innings and a high score of 113*. Outside of him, though, RCB have struggled to find big individual performances, with no other player currently featuring in the top ten with bat or ball.
Meanwhile, after finishing bottom of the league last season, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have been better this term and are currently one of five teams that are tied on six points each. They currently sit in fifth place owing to their net run rate of +0.344. SRH’s major strength this season has been their batting performances, as they rank as the fourth-highest in runs scored with 991, just 88 behind RCB at the top of the standings. Heinrich Klaasen and Abhishek Sharma have been the main contributors in that regard, contributing 186 and 177, respectively. However, there is room for improvement with the ball in hand, as none of the SRH bowlers currently feature in the top ten for the purple cap - Pat Cummins is currently in 13th place with six wickets to date. The visitors lost to this opponent by eight wickets last season but are the marginal favourites in this one, according to the bookmakers.
