Roman Safiullin vs Filip Misolic Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Miami

We are in the final round of qualifying for the main draw of the Miami Open and world number 104 Roman Safiullin takes on Filip Misolic who is 150th in the latest rankings. The match will be played on an outdoor hard court. Safiullin is seeded 12th in the qualifying draw while Misolic is unseeded. Roman Safiullin has had a torrid few weeks leading up to this match and won only his second match from his last five tournaments when he came from behind to defeat Nicolas Moreno in three sets in the first round of qualifying in Miami. The Russian won the Koblenz Challenger in February but hasn’t come close to those heights again. He is making his debut in the second and final tournament of the “Sunshine Double” and will be keen to make the main draw which will in turn see him get back into the top 100 in the live ranking. This is his first match against Misolic.

Just like Safiullin, Misolic is making his debut in Miami. The Austrian has had an up-and-down season as well but he has fared a bit better than Safiullin in recent matches, winning four of his last seven matches. He has however only made it through to the main draw once in his last four tournaments. He received a bit of luck in advancing to this round as his first-round opponent retired injured in the second set, therefore, reducing his minutes on the court by more than 40 minutes compared to Safiullin and he will hope this works to his advantage. Misolic is ranked 139th in the live ranking currently which is three places below his career-high ranking of 136.
