Roger Federer is bidding to win this title for the third year in a row and the tenth time overall. He’s barely been tested this week and has only lost six games coming into this semi-final. He beat Peter Gojowczyk and Rady Albot in the first two rounds. He was due to face Stan Wawrinka in the quarter finals but his opponent pulled out injured. Federer is in his first semi-final since losing to Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon. He’s chasing his fourth title of 2019 after wins in Dubai, Miami and Halle.

Stefanos Tsitisipas had a tough three-setter against Filip Krajinovic while Federer had his feet up on Friday evening. The Greek player is ranked seventh in the world but hasn't always been playing like that this week. The second round saw him have to come from a set down to beat qualifier Ricardis Berankis. He also lost the first set to Krajinovic and can't afford to do that against Roger Federer. Tsitisipas needs to raise his game because that's seen him in the past month or so reach the semi-finals in Shanghai and the final of the China Open. Those results came after a poor spell of form since a clay court tournament win in Madrid. Go for Federer to get the win here in a match that has over 21.5 games in it.
