Roberto Carballes Baena vs Jannik Sinner Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Umag Open

Second seeded Jannik Sinner faces unseeded Roberto Caballes Baena in the quarter final of the Umag Open. The winner of this match takes on either Marco Cecchinato or Franco Agamenone in the last four, both who are qualifiers. Sinner began this week ranked 10th in the world but is yet to win a tournament in 2022. Not just that, this is his sixth quarter final of the year and he's lost the previous five. That included his surprise run to the Wimbledon quarter finals. He's much more comfortable on clay than grass and has made smooth progress in Umag. He's only had to play one match (his first since Wimbledon) and beat Jaume Munar in straight sets.

Roberto Caballes Baena is the world number 86 but up six places in the live rankings. Most of his success this year has come on the Challenger Tour with a title win in Tunis on clay and finals in Gran Canaria but he didn't beat any players ranked in the top 200. Earlier this month he reached another Challenger Tour final in the Netherlands. Form on the ATP Tour hasn't been that great though. He lost in the last 64 at Roland Garros and it was Sinner who beat him in four sets.  He's won two matches so far this week with victories over Henri Laaksonsen and the fifth seeded Alex Molcan, after losing the first set. Go for Sinner to win this in straight sets.
