Fourth seed Alexander Zverev is up against unseeded Roberto Carballes Baena in round one of Wimbledon. The second round opponent for the winner will be either Henry Searle or Marcos Giron, both of whom are unseeded.

 Zverev is the world number four but up a place to third in the live rankings. Only Jannik Sinner has earned more ranking points this year than the German. He hasn't got the best of Wimbledon records though.

He's reached the fourth round twice but never any further. The last occasion was three years ago and in 2023 he only made it to round three.Just one grass court tournament has been played by him this year.

That saw him get to the semi-final in the Halle Open, where he was beaten by Hubert Hurkacz. His only previous match against Baena was on clay last year and Zverev won in three sets.

Roberto Carballes Baena is down at 64th in the live rankings. The Spaniard is five places higher in the ATP Live Race but that's little to do with his abilities on grass courts.

He much prefers playing on clay and has never made it past the second round on the grass courts of Wimbledon. The first six times in this tournament saw him fail to even win a match.

He broke his duck last year with a win over Matteo Arnaldi before being beaten by the sixth seed Holger Rune in straight sets. On grass this year, his only tournament was in the Mallorca Open played last week.

The Spaniard beat Pablo Carreno Busta in straight sets (with two tie-breaks played) before losing to Gael Monfils in the next round. We go for over 28.5 games to be played with a tie-break a possibility.
