Rinky Hijikata vs Marton Fucsovics Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP US Open

World number 100 Rinky Hijikata will take on 56th-ranked Marton Fucsovics in the second round of the US Open on Wednesday evening. The winner of this match will go on to face either Adrian Mannarino or Fabian Marozsan in round three. Hijikata came to the US Open following a second-round exit in Winston-Salem and an opening-round loss at the Cincinnati Masters. The Australian has done most of his best work on the challenger circuit this year. He won the Burnie Challenger event at the start of the year and reached the quarter-final at the Cary Challenger competition last month. Both those tournaments were on the hard surface, though he has not got past the second round in an ATP event this year. Hijikata has made a promising start here, overcoming Pavel Kotov in four sets in the last round. His record now stands at 30-26 for the year and 21-16 on his favoured hard surface. Against a higher-ranked opponent here, Hijikata is the 3/1 outsider to win this match. 

Meanwhile, Marton Fucsovics managed an excellent win in the last round, overcoming Sebastian Korda in a titanic five-set battle. The Hungarian lost the lead in the match twice but rallied well in the final set to secure the win. Like his opponent, Fucsovics made the second round in Winston-Salem. However, he failed to qualify for the Cincinnati Masters, losing to Alexander Shevchenko in the first round of qualifying. His best results on the hard surface have come on the Challenger circuit this year. Fucsovics won the Canberra Challenger event at the very start of the season and reached the quarter-final of the Segovia Challenger competition following his grass swing. The Hungarian is now 29-19 for the year and 15-9 on the hard surface. He is the clear favourite in this one.
