Richard Gasquet is a former Antwerp champion. He won the title here in 2016 and has also made the semi-finals twice, more recently in 2022. Returning to a tournament he has excelled will have him confident of overcoming his recent struggles.

The Frenchman has lost three times in his last four outings. Before this run, he had won six successive matches with the purple patch leading to the Cassis Challenger title.
