Reilly Opelka will square off with sixth seed Brandon Nakashima as he continues his search for a second Delray Beach title. They will battle in the second round with the winner to meet Matteo Arnaldi, Learner Tien or Adam Walton in the quarter-finals. Below is our prediction for this match.

Opelka won the Delray title in 2020 and in his most recent appearance in this event, three years ago, he finished as runner-up.

Having only once failed to make it to at least the quarter-finals in his four previous appearances, he will be confident of ousting Nakashima. Opelka, who defeated Nakashima in Sydney in 2022, has compiled an 8-3 record to start the year.

He defeated compatriot Christopher Eubanks in the first round in straight sets. The former world number 17 has moved up 11 places to 110th in the live ranking.

Brandon Nakashima is having a frustrating start to the season. Having won his first match this week, he will hope to string up some wins to offset his slow start.

The American has lost four times in six outings this season. He arrived for his third appearance in Delray on a three-match losing run.

Nakashima, a quarter-finalist here in 2020, defeated qualifier James Trotter in straight sets in the first round. As a result, he has moved up two places to 41st in the live ranking.
