Real Madrid will welcome Bayern Munich for the final play-in tie of the 2024/25 EuroLeague campaign. The winner here will secure the eighth seed for the playoffs. Read on to find our prediction for this match.
Real Madrid are coming off an 81-73 loss at home to Paris in their first game of this season’s play-in. The loss handed Paris the seventh seed and left the record European champions with only one game to try and make the playoffs.
Chus Matteo’s men were on a 12-game winning streak across all competitions before Paris strolled into town. Real, who finished the regular season with a 20-14 record, defeated Bayern at home back in January 88-76.
Bayern also had a regular-season victory over Real. The German giants produced a strong offensive showing in their first leg meeting and won 97-89.
As they have begun the postseason with a win, Gordon Herbert’s men will arrive in the Spanish capital confident of another victory.
Bayern, who entered the postseason with the ninth-best record, outmuscled Red Star Belgrade 97-93. The win snapped a two-game skid in Europe.
This is Bayern’s first appearance in the play-in. A win against Madrid will send the Reds to the playoffs for the first time since the 2021/22 season.
