Rajasthan Royals vs Gujarat Titans Prediction & Betting Tips - Indian Premier League
by Devesh Jaganath | in Cricket Predictions
The Indian Premier League race is heating up, and in match 48 of 74, we will see the Rajasthan Royals take on the Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium on Friday afternoon. After nine rounds of matches, the Royals find themselves in fourth place in the standings with 10 points, though there are as many as three other teams tied with the same total. The Royals are currently leading those three teams thanks to their superior net run rate, which currently stands at +0.800. The Royals record ticked over to five wins and four losses in the tournament after losing their last match to the Mumbai Indians last weekend. Yashasvi Jaiswal headlined yet again for the Royals, putting up the highest individual player score in this tournament of 124 runs in just 62 balls en route to posting 212/7 in their 20 overs. However, their bowling attack was unable to back up the incredible innings of Jaiswal, with only Ravichandran Ashwin delivering figures of any note, picking up two wickets for just 27 runs in his four overs. The Royals dropped from first to fourth place following that match and will need a win here or may risk falling further in the standings with games ticking down fast.
Meanwhile, the reigning champions suffered a surprise defeat to the bottom side, the Delhi Capitals in their last match as they were unable to chase down a weak target of just 130. Four of the top-five batsman for the Titans tumbled early, adding just 12 runs between them, including two ducks from Wriddhiman Saha and the usually dependable David Miller. Hardik Pandya carried the innings for his side, but with very little support at the other end, the skipper came up short as his side lost the match by five runs. However, the positive they could take from the match was the solid performance of their bowlers, led by Mohammed Shami, who took a very impressive 4 wickets for just 11 runs in his four overs and smashed through the Capital's top-order, picking up four of the top five batsmen. The Titans still leading the IPL standings, thanks in part to the match between CSK and LSG being abandoned. This is the Titan's game in hand, and a win here will see them move three points clear at the top with five games to go.

Our Rajasthan Royals vs Gujarat Titans Prediction
The Titans are fancied to win this one, but they showed in their last match that they can struggle with the ball at times which makes backing them confidently a little difficult. Yashasvi Jaiswal has been excellent in this tournament, and following his incredible knock last weekend, he will be brimming with confidence which could see him notch up another good score in this one. Our Gujarat Titans v Rajasthan Royals prediction is for Yashasvi Jaiswal to score over 27.5 runs.
