World number one Rafael Nadal has already won the French Open ten times in his career and he bids to make it 11 on Sunday when he takes on Dominic Thiem in the Men's Singles final. Nadal has only ever made it on court and been beaten at Roland Garros on two occasions, his other defeat being when he had to pull out with one of the many injuries that have blighted his career. In the past couple of years though, Nadal has made a great comeback reaching three Grand Slam finals last year and winning both the French and US Opens. He has only dropped one set on his way to the final, that being the first set in his quarter-final against Diego Schwartzman. He fought back to win the next three sets and then was in awesome form in his semi-final against Juan Martin del Potro dropping just seven games in his straight sets win. Nadal has never lost a final at Roland Garros and will be more than keen to maintain that record.

Dominic Thiem is the seventh seed but he can boast that he's beaten Rafael Nadal on clay three times. However, none of those wins came at Roland Garros and their only meeting in the French Open was in last year's semi-final and Nadal won in straight sets losing just seven games and taking the final set 6-0. Earlier this season, the pair met in the Monte Carlo Masters and Nadal was in scorching form again dropping just two games. There is some hope for Thiem as he did win their last match getting a straight sets win in Madrid. He's beaten Nadal in front of his home fans, now he just has to get a win on a court where the Spaniard is almost unbeatable. Thiem has dropped three sets on his way to this final and the tip here is to go for Nadal to get the win and further reinforce his title as the King of Clay.
