Qinwen Zheng sailed through to the Wuhan Open quarter-finals where she will meet third seed Jasmine Paolini. This match, for which we have a prediction, is scheduled for Friday. It will be their third career meeting.

To advance to this latest duel, the 22-year-old came from behind to defeat Leylah Fernandez.

Jasmine Paolini has won both her matches in Wuhan in straight sets. She defeated Yuan Yue in the second round and then lucky loser Erika Andreeva.

The latest win was the 39th victory of an incredible season for the Italian. Paolini, who has registered 19 of her wins on hard courts, won one title this season. She also got to the final at Wimbledon and Roland Garros.

Her form has seen her break into the WTA top 10 and she is currently ranked sixth in the world. The winner in this game will play Ekaterina Alexandrova or Wang Xinyu in the semi-finals.
