Puerto Rico take on Canada in the Women's World Cup quarter finals. The winner of this match takes on either the defending champions, the USA or Serbia. Canada finished second in Group B with four wins out of five. Their only loss came against group winners Australia by just three points. The Canadians are in their third successive World Cup quarter finals but haven't made the last four since doing so in 1986. They recorded some good wins over Serbia, France, Mali and Japan in the group stages, so will be confident of progressing to the semi-finals.

Puerto Rico would love to win this quarter final but would be unlikely to be happy if it means having to face the USA again. The two countries met in the group stages and the Americans won by 106 points to 42. That was one of three matches that they lost in the group stages. They won their opening match against Bosnia and Herzegovina but went into the final fixture against South Korea needing to win it to qualify. Puerto Rico did just that, getting the vital win by a comfortable 19 points. It was a massive win for them and they are now in the World Cup quarter finals for the first time. It's unlikely they will make it to the last four though. Back Canada to win on a -20 points spread.
