NBA action continues at the Moda Center on Thursday night when the Portland Trail Blazers host the Orlando Magic. The Blazers (18-29) are 13th in the Western Conference, while the Magic (24-24) are sixth in the West. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Blazers have been enjoying a purple patch of form with their fifth win in six matches after a shock 125-112 victory against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday. 

Deni Avdija notched up 30 points for the first time as a Blazer, while Anfernee Simons and Deandre Ayton broke the 20-point mark with 17 rebounds and nine assists between them. 

The Blazers hold the fourth-worst offensive record, averaging 108.1 points per game, while little improvement is noted in defence as their allowance of 115.2 PPG ranks them 22nd in the league. 

In contrast, a 125-119 defeat at the hands of the Heat spells danger for the Magic who are now 2-8 in their last 10 matches and hold a four-match losing streak on the road.

Franz Wagner got 29 points with eight rebounds and three assists, while Paolo Banchero failed to find his range as he missed 66% of his 21 field attempts for a total of 17 points on the night.

Orlando continues to hold the worst offensive record in the league with just 104.1 points per game on average, while their stellar defence allows just 104.9 PPG (second overall).
