The Portland Trail Blazers will be at home to welcome the Detroit Pistons in the two teams’ next NBA regular season assignment. Both teams are struggling in their respective conferences with the Blazers 14th in the West and Detroit bottom in the East. The Blazers have won eight straight matches against the Pistons. They won the first meeting of the season 110-101 in Detroit back in November and will be confident of another victory here. Chauncey Billups’ men have had most of their success this season against East teams. They have registered nine of their 15 wins thus far against such teams. This should have them fancying to get back to winning ways and end their current two-game skid. The Blazers are coming from a back-to-back in Denver that ended a two-game winning run. Jerami Grant, Scoot Henderson, Jabari Walker, and Deandre Ayton have been listed as ‘Questionable’ for this match. Shaedon Sharpe and Moses Brown will continue to be sidelined.

The Pistons will also be missing some pivotal pieces for this fixture. Cade Cunningham and Bojan Bogdanovic, their two leading scorers have been ruled out due to knee and calf problems respectively. Isaiah Stewart, who has missed the last four games, will also be sidelined here. Detroit produced a shock result last time out as they earned a commanding 133-120 victory over the Kings. This was only their seventh win of the season and halted a run of three successive losses. Monty Williams’ men will be hoping to maintain this momentum having started a five-game road trip in the West. The Pistons, who are averaging 113.0 points, have lost 20 of the 23 road games they have been involved in.
