Poland faces Slovenia in the semi-finals of the 2023 Men's European Volleyball Championships. The winners will be up against either Italy or France in the final. Poland may be the top ranked team in the world (seven places above their opponents) but haven't reached the European championship final since 2009 when going on to win the title. Since then they have lost at the semi-final stage three times, including the last two tournaments. They'll hope to go one better this time around and are in excellent form. The Poles have won all seven of their matches so far and dropped only three sets in those games. After winning their pool and only conceding 272 points, they beat Belgium and Serbia in the knockout stages. They have now won eight successive matches since being beaten by Italy last month.

Slovenia are no strangers to the European Championship final. A win over Poland will take them into their fourth straight title decider but all three previous finals have been lost. They won Pool B of this tournament and only dropped a single set in doing so. The knockout stages have seen them beat Turkey 3-2 and Ukraine 3-1. They needed to come from two sets down to get past the Turks. It wasn't such a struggle against Ukraine but their opponents won 94 points against them. We go for Poland to get a victory here.
