Pool B in the volleyball Men's Olympic Tournament will be decided this weekend when Poland locks horns with Italy on Saturday evening. The White and Reds are currently in second place with five points, while Gli Azzurri lead the group with six points. Here’s our match prediction for this top-of-the-table clash. 

Regardless of the outcome of this match, both these sides will feature in the next round of the competition, with Brazil currently on one point and Egypt yet to get off the mark. 

Poland made an impressive start to their Olympic campaign, taking down the Pharaohs 3-0 in their opening match. However, they were made to work for their points in game two against the Dream Team but withstood the pressure to secure a 3-2 victory, earning qualification to the next round in the process. 

With that result, the White and Reds are now on a three-match winning streak and have only suffered two defeats in their last 10 matches in all competitions. 

Next up for the Poles are Italy, who have been very impressive in Paris this year, notching up back-to-back wins, starting with a 3-1 victory over Brazil and following up with a commanding 3-0 win against Egypt. 

Gli Azzurri have now won four in a row in all competitions and have lost only three of their last 10. Notably, though, one of those losses was against their upcoming opponents at the Nations League last month.
