The second round of matches in Pool B at the 2024 Paris Olympics volleyball competition will see Poland taking on Brazil on Wednesday. The White and Reds lead the Pool with three points while the Dream Team are third and yet to earn their first points. Check out our prediction below. 

World number one Poland got their Olympic campaign off to the perfect start, making light work of Egypt in their opening match, emerging as 3-0 winners (25-21, 25-19, 25-13). 

The White and Reds have now won eight of their last 10 matches in all competitions and have lost only four of their last 20. 

The Poles will move on to face Brazil, a side they have dominated in recent years. In the last six matches between the nations, Poland have won five times, though only one of those matches ended in straight sets. 

Meanwhile, Brazil came to Paris ranked seventh in the world and were always likely to struggle to claim a top two place in the group against the world number one and two.

However, the Dream Team put up a good fight in their opening match but were unable to overcome the formidable Italians, losing the match 3-1 (25-23, 27-25, 18-25, 25-21). 

That was the first loss that the South Americans conceded six games and their fourth in the last 10. They haven't lost a match in straight sets since June 21.
