The Phoenix Suns and the New Orleans Pelicans will meet at Footprint Center in Thursday's NBA clash. The Suns are 11th in the Western Conference, while the Pelicans are 14th. Here's our match prediction. 

The Phoenix Suns have been in bad shape in the NBA regular season. They are currently on a two-match losing streak and to make things even worse—they have lost six of their last seven.

The Suns come into this match after suffering a narrow 151-148 overtime away defeat against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. That was the final match of their five-game road trip which they ended on a disappointing note, recording four losses and a solitary win.

A return to Footprint Center sees them riding low on confidence as they have lost two consecutive matches at home. However, they have won six of their last nine outings indicating there's light at the end of the tunnel to turn their performance around. 

The New Orleans Pelicans have bounced back impressively recording two consecutive wins. This comes after losing 111-103 to the Dallas Mavericks following an All-Star Weekend.

The Pelicans had no trouble sweeping aside the San Antonio Spurs in a 109-103 home victory. As a team, they shot 43.6% from the field and restricted their opponents to 40.9%.

That triumph marked their third win in four matches which is a significant improvement considering they were on a ten-match losing streak.
