The long road to the NBA Finals has finally reached its destination. Milwaukee Bucks host the Phoenix Suns in the first of a best-of-seven series to determine the NBA Champions for 2021. The Bucks are the Eastern Conference champions, beating Atlanta Hawks in the conference final. They won the Central Division with a 46-26 season record and that made them the third seeds for the play-offs. The Bucks beat Miami Heat 4-0 in the first round, then knocked out the second seeds, the Brooklyn Nets 4-3 in the semi-final. A 4-2 win over the Hawks has taken them into their first NBA Finals since 1974, it's exactly 50 years since their one and only NBA title. Giannis Antetokounmpo is still out injured for them but Khris Middleton is in top form, scoring 32 points in the win over the Hawks that clinched their place in this final.

The Phoenix Suns will be hoping for third time lucky in NBA Finals. This is their first final in 28 years, that was lost as was the other in 1976, now the Western Conference winners are out to win their first NBA Finals. Their regular season record was 51-21 winning them the Pacific Division and making them second seeds for the play-offs. The Suns only lost four matches in those play-offs beating both Los Angeles teams and Denver.  Booker and Paul will be out to cause problems galore for the Bucks and with home advantage in this first match, they can go 1-0 up.
