Philipp Kohlschreiber vs Andrey Rublev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Halle Open

The Halle Open has reached the last eight stage and we have just one seed remaining. That's fourth seeded Andrey Rublev and he is the hot favourite when facing wild card Phillipp Kohlscreiber. Rublev is the world number seven and looking to bounce back after his shock first round loss at Roland Garros. Before that loss he had been one of the most consistent players on the circuit. He'd won the ATP Cup with Russia and the Rotterdam tournament as well as plenty of last eight and semi-final appearances. His grass court record isn't the best and he's never reached the third round at Wimbledon. He's shown good form this week though with victories over Karen Khachanov and Jordan Thompson, both in straight sets.

Phillip Kohlscreiber was given a wildcard for this event in his native Germany. He's put it to good use and the world number 128 has beaten Jurj Rodionov and Corentin Moutet without dropping a set. He's 37 years of age now and made his pro debut when his opponent was just four years old. He's met Rublev in one previous match and won it though it was on clay four years ago. Kohlscreiber did better than Rublev at the French Open and beat Fernando Verdasco and Aslan Karatsev before losing to Diego Schwartman. He won this tournament eight years ago but this looks the end of the road for him. Back Rublev to get the win.
