Atlanta Braves sit at the top of the National League East with a season record of 11-6. They will look to get another win when traveling to the Philadephia Phillies who are fourth in the same division. Only the Oakland Athletics have recorded more wins than the Braves in the MLB this season. A win here will take them level with the Athletics on a dozen victories. This will be the fourth match in a row against the Phillies in this much changed MLB schedule. The first saw them lose 5-0 but the next two away at Philadelphia have both been won. They will be confident of making it a hat-trick of victories over the Phillies, especially after beating them 8-0 in the last meeting.

The Phillies are down in fourth in the National League East and now have a 4-6 season record. A place in the play-offs isn't looking likely for them and they are three wins behind third placed New York Mets so even a wild card is a tough prize to earn. They are no strangers to missing out on the play-offs though, last making it through to them in 2011. They have Joe Giradi in charge this season but he's not worked much magic so far. The last two games against the Braves have been lost by an aggregate score of 13-2, another loss looks on the cards for them here, further denting those play-off hopes.
