The culmination of the NFL season is upon us and the spectacle that is Super Bowl LVII is set to kickoff with the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the Kansas City Chiefs. Both teams have had fantastic seasons and little argument can be made that these are the two most deserving teams after each finished with a conference best 14-3 regular season record. The Chiefs are making their third Super Bowl appearance in the last four seasons as they look to exorcize the demons when they fell 31-9 to the Tom Brady led Bucs in 2021. Recently-named MVP Patrick Mahomes will be seeking his second Super Bowl ring after leading his teammates to the crown in 2020. Kansas City were certainly tested in the playoffs as they won both of their games by just a single possession. They got their revenge over the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship with a 23-20 win after the Bengals knocked them out at that very same stage last season. 

Standing in their way is an Eagles team that could have a strong case made for the title of ‘best team in the NFL’. The massive step-up that quarterback Jalen Hurts has taken in his play has elevated the Eagles to an elite level as they search for their first Super Bowl title since the 2018 upset win over Tom Brady’s Patriots. Philly steamrolled their way through the playoffs, demolishing division rivals the New York Giants 38-7 in the Divisional Round followed by a 31-7 victory over the banged-up 49ers in the NFC Championship. The Eagles have been lighting up the statistical categories all season on both offense and defense and will present the ultimate test for the Chiefs and their generational quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
