The Philadelphia 76ers have been in very poor form of late and are now hoping to avoid a sixth straight defeat after losing to the Pelicans 112-99 on the road on Monday night. 

Justin Edwards and Jared Butler scored 19 points apiece, while as a team, Philadelphia shot a paltry 39% from the field and made 14 of 42 attempts from beyond the arc. 

The Sixers are averaging 110.0 points per game this season (25th in the league), while allowing 115.6 PPG (19th overall).

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been the worst team in the East this season, and like their opponents, are on a five-match losing streak after a 112-104 loss to the Raptors on Monday. 

Jordan Poole was the only Washington player to surpass 20 points in the defeat. As a team, they shot 40% from the field and made 11 of 37 from the three-point line. 

The Wizards are bottom five on both ends this season, 27th for points scored (108.6 PPG) and rock-bottom for points against (120.5 PPG).
