It's looking good for the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA play-offs. They have won the first two games against the Philadelphia 76ers in this best-of-seven series. The winners of this match take on either defending champions Toronto or Brooklyn in the Eastern Conference semi-finals. That's looking like Toronto as they also lead 2-0 in their first round match. Back to this tie and Boston will be confident of going 3-0 up with a win in this game.

It's 2-0 to Boston but they struggled to win the first match. They did so by eight points but needed to win the final quarter by a dozen points to get that victory. It was a much easier task in the second game as Boston ran out convincing 128-101 winners. That's despite losing the first quarter by six points before rallying to go into the half-time break with an eight-point lead. Their dominance continued with a 33-18 win in the third quarter taking them 23 points clear. It was closer in the final quarter but Boston were again on top and won the match by 27 points. Philadelphia have it all to do now and must wish they could get the Celtics on their home court where they have been so successful this season. That's not to be though and Boston can get another win here to take them to within one victory of the semi-finals.
