Petra Kvitová vs Iga Swiatek Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Miami

Iga Swiatek will be the new world number one when the next ranking list is published. The Pole is chasing her third title in a row and faces 28th seeded Petra Kvitova in the Miami Masters quarter finals. The winner of this match takes on either fifth seeded Paula Badosa or the 16th seed Jessica Pegula. Swiatek is the second seed in Miami but the highest one left after three of the top four seeded players lost in the second round. Swiatek has won in Dubai and Indian Wells this year and has earned more ranking points in 2022 than anyone else on the WTA Tour. This tournament has seen her win three matches and lose just eight games. Two of her six sets won have been by a 6-0 scoreline. Those wins hae come against Viktorija Golubic, Madison Brengle and 14th seeded Cori Gauff.

Petra Kvitova began this tournament with a ranking of 32nd. The Czech has dropped 15 places this year and in March 2021 was in 10th this time last year. This is her eighth tournament of the year but only the second time that Kvitova has reached a quarter final. The other last eight appearance was in Dubai when losing to Jelena Ostapenko. Kvitova did beat the top seed Aryna Sabalenka in that tournament. Indian Wells didn't go well for her though, losing in the second round to Maria Sakkari and only winning three games. In Miami, the Czech has had wins over Clara Buel (losing the middle set), qualifier Lauren Davis and 21st seed Veronika Kudermetova.This is her first match against Swiatek and the tip is for the Pole to get the win in straight sets.
