Paul Jubb vs Thiago Seyboth Wild Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Wimbledon Championships
by Steve Ashfield | in ATP Wimbledon Championships Predictions
Paul Jubb will be all out to continue the excellent form he displayed in Mallorca last week. The wild card faces unseeded Thiago Seyboth Wild in the first round at Wimbledon.
Next up for the winner is a match against either 15th seed Holger Rune or unseeded Kwon Soon-woo. Jubb is playing in the main draw of this grass court tournament for only the third time.
He's yet to win a main draw match in a Grand Slam and last time here, he was beaten by the eventual finalist Nick Kyrgios. Last week was the best of his career as the 24-year-old reached the last four in Mallorca.
The British player beat the top seed Ben Shelton in that tournament. His run ended when being beaten by eventual runner-up Sebastian Ofner. Jubb is 201st in the latest rankings but a career-high 196th.
Thiago Seyboth Wild would be a lot happier if this match was being played on clay. The Brazilian is 74th in the new ranking list but that's not due to his ability on grass courts.
This is his first time in the main draw at Wimbledon. Three previous visits have seen him exit in the qualifying round. He only played one grass court warm-up event and that was at Eastbourne last week.
He beat James McCabe (ranked 342nd at the time) and was then beaten by eventual champion Taylor Fritz in straight sets. We tip Paul Jubb to win this match and move into the second round for the first time.

Our Paul Jubb vs Thiago Seyboth Wild Prediction
Paul Jubb has been climbing the rankings in the past month. He had a good win over Alex Michelsen and then last week made it to the last four in Mallorca. That included beating world number 14 Ben Shelton.
Thiago Seyboth WIld gained automatic entry into the first round (his opponent was given a wild card). He probably needed that as three previous attempts to qualify have ended in failure.
Wild is much more used to playing on clay. Our Paul Jubb v Thiago Seyboth Wild prediction is for Paul Jubb to win.
