Pakistan vs England Prediction & Betting Tips - World Test Championship
by Yunchu Li | in Cricket Predictions
The final chapter of what has been an enthralling test series between England and Pakistan is set to get underway at the National Stadium Karachi this Saturday. After a flying start in the first test, a tactical masterclass by skipper Ben Stokes in Multan saw his side record a 26-run victory and clinch the 3-match series. England has never won two tests in a single tour to Pakistan and will be looking to complete a white-wash against their hosts in their own backyard. England are currently ranked fifth on the ICC World Test Championship rankings and will be looking to pull away from Pakistan, who are close behind in sixth. Harry Brook leads the top run-scorers for England in this series with 357, which includes 45 fours and nine sixes at a strike rate of 101. Ben Duckett has chipped in with 249 runs at a 96 strike rate, while Joe Root etched his name into the history books, becoming only the second Englishman to score 10,000 runs in tests for England and will be looking to pile on even more before the end of 2022.
Pakistan will want to see the back of England as soon as possible. After losing to England in the T20 World Cup final, Pakistan has followed it up with a weak display in the red-ball format. Babar Azam and his side have struggled with bat and ball in this series, and the morale in the team looks evidently low. Saud Shakeel has been the standout batsman for the men in green and has scored 270 runs in this series with a strike rate of 47, while Abrar Ahmed is emerging as a very promising prospect after bagging 11 wickets on debut. Pakistan’s generally potent pace attack at home has been struggling to knock over the rampant English top-order and is being made to pay for it. They have now recorded only one win in their last four test matches on either side of the T20 World Cup and are sliding down the WTC rankings at a steady rate. Pakistan will head into this match hoping to avoid humiliation and end the year on a positive note in front of their home fans.

Pakistan & England Squad Analysis
Pakistan's 19-year-old starlet Naseem Shah is ruled out for the final Test against England due to a shoulder injury from which he's been unable to recover. Haris Rauf picked up an injury in the first test and will likely be out until the New Year. Following his excellent debut, Abrar Ahmed is firmly expected to keep his place in the starting 11. With the series in the bag, England may be tempted to hand a debut to teenager Rehan Ahmed, while Ben Foakes and Keaton Jennings will also be hoping to feature, having yet to be involved in the series so far.

Our Pakistan vs England Prediction
England has been rampant recently, and the T20 World Champions will be in no mood to slow down anytime soon. The English's 'bazball' approach seems to be working in their favor of late, with their batsmen approaching every inning with one intention; score as many runs as quickly as possible. With the pressure off, having already wrapped up the series, the English batsmen will be looking to inflict further damage and go after a deflated Pakistani bowling attack. Considering their recent performances, England should wrap the series up in a blow-out.
