Ottawa Senators vs Vegas Golden Knights Prediction & Betting Tips - NHL
by Matthew Newman | in NHL Predictions
The 32-19-6 Vegas Golden Knights are on the road early on Sunday morning in Ottawa to play the 24-27-3 Senators. The Sens have finally hit some form this season, 6-1-2 in their last nine. This has become a recurring theme in recent seasons, winning games when the playoffs are already out of reach. In five of those nine games, they have found the net on four or more occasions, so they have found their stride offensively and their recent 4-1 win over the Dallas Stars was a more impressive blue-line effort as well. Two excellent efforts in Florida recently show that they are capable of living with the bigger teams in the league and given the form their opponents have been showing of late, they will fancy themselves to pick up another result.
This is the opening game of five on the road for the Knights and having lost four in a row at home, separated by a win in San Jose against the Sharks, they might just appreciate being away from the expectation of their own fans. Their most recent game saw them lose 3-7 to the Toronto Maple Leafs who they will meet in Canada in game two of this trip. The Minnesota Wild, Carolina Hurricanes and Nashville Predators all also took two points from T-Mobile Arena, conceding 20 goals in those four games. One thing for the fans to cheer on has been the recent goal-scoring form of the franchise leader in goals and points, Jonathan Marchessault. He has 18 points in 17 games in his career when taking on the Sens so look for his good form to continue.
