The Minnesota Timberwolves and Orlando Magic will lock horns at the Kia Center in the NBA on Friday morning. The Magic (22-16) are fourth in the Eastern Conference while the Timberwolves (19-17) are eighth in the West. Let’s get into the match prediction.

The Orlando Magic have been a mixed bag recently, 5-5 in their last 10, but they will be hoping to build up some momentum after beating the Knicks 103-94 on the road on Tuesday.

Cole Anthony put up 24 points. Orlando shot 50% from open play and 11 of 31 from range. However, the win was attributable to solid defence, as the team conceded just 40 points in the second and third quarters combined. 

The Magic are dead last in the scoring charts, averaging just 105.2 points per game, but they possess the league’s best defence, which concedes just 103.2 PPG. 

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have also split their last 10 games but are going for a third straight win here following a 104-97 victory over the Pelicans in midweek. 

Anthony Edwards delivered another standout performance with 32 points, nine rebounds and three assists, while Julius Randle and Naz Reid added 16 and 13 points respectively. 

Like their upcoming opponents, the Timberwolves have been much better on defence than offence this season, averaging 109.1 PPG scored (22nd) and 107.7 PPG against (fourth).
