Ons Jabeur vs Shelby Rogers Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA US Open

Ons Jabeur has beaten two Americans so far in the 2022 US Open. Now the Tunisian faces a third as the fifth seed plays 31st seeded Shelby Rogers. This is a last 32 match and the winner will face either Veronika Kudermetova (seeded 18th) or unseeded Dalma Gailfa for a place in the quarter finals. Jabeur is fifth in the latest rankings but up to fourth in the live list. Earlier this year she was as high as second in the rankings. Two titles have been won this year and only Iga Swiatek has earned more ranking points than her this year. Jabeur also got to the Wimbledon final but no points to be earned there. She's never made it past the third round of this tournament and so far this week has beaten Madison Brengle and Elizabeth Mandlik and is yet to drop a set. There have been two previous matches against Rogers and Jabeur won both of them. 

Shelby Rogers is the world number 31 but 39th in the WTA Race. Her current ranking is only one place below her career high. Rogers has had success in the US Open with a quarter final in 2020 and the fourth round last year. 2022 has been an inconsistent year with a lot of early exits but she did recently get to the final in San Jose but lost to Daria Kasatkina. The first round of this tournament saw her have to come from a set down to Arantxa Rus in the first round. It was a smoother win in the second round with a straight sets victory over Viktoria Kuzmova. Jabeur will be a tough opponent, back her to get the win.
