Round one of the Abu Dhabi Open sees seventh seed Jeena Ostapenko face unseeded Ons Jabeur. The winner will be up against either unseeded Yuan Yue or qualifier Wakana Sonobe in round two. Here's our match prediction.

Ostapenko may be the seeded player here but the Latvian is not the favorite to win this match. The world number 26 is down to 35th in the live rankings. That's because she's just about to lose the ranking points earned when winning last year's Linz tournament are about to disappear.

The 27-year-old has only won one match has been won. Her loss of form is not short term though. Since reaching the quarter-finals of last year's Wimbledon Championships in July, Ostapenko has only won two of her 11 matches.

Ons Jabeur is at 33rd in the live rankings and has won six of her nine matches played so far this year. One quarter-final (in Brisbane) has been reached and her last tournament saw her get to the last 32 of the Australian Open and has had wins over Ekaterina Alexandrova and Danielle Collins this year.
