Ons Jabeur vs Garbiñe Muguruza Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Wimbledon Championships

This is only a match in the last 32 at Wimbledon but it's good enough to be a final. Former champion Garbine Muguruza  is the 11th seed and takes on Ons Jabeur (seeded 21st) who is fresh from winning the grass court title in Birmingham last month. It was in 2017 that Muguruza won the Wimbledon title, two years after losing in the final. This year began for Muguruza with a final at the Yarra Valley Classic. Another final was reached in Doha and then Muguruza won the title in Dubai as she piled up the ranking points. Her form dipped though and she exited in the first round at Roland Garros. Just one grass court warm-up tournament was played by Muguruza. She got to the last eight in Berlin, being beaten by Eliza Cornet. Two rounds have been won this year at Wimbledon and only six games lost against Fiona Ferro and Lesley Pattinama Kerkhove. There's only been one previous meeting between the pair. That was in Hobart last year with Muguruza getting the win after losing the first set.

Ons Jabeur is ranked 24th in the world but up to 23rd in the live rankings. It's been a good year for the Tunisian who began the year ranked outside the top 30. The title win in Birmingham was the second final of the year for Jabeur. She also made it to the final in Charleston but disappointingly lost to Astra Sharma who was ranked 165th at the time. This year has seen Jabeur get wins over Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (finalist at Roland Garros), Elena Rybakina, Sofia Kenin and Cori Gauff  So far at Wimbledon, Jabeur has beaten Rebecca Patterson and Venus Williams to make it to the third round here for the first time in her career. This is a tough match to predict but Muguruza has far more experience of Wimbledon than her opponent. Back Muguruza to win with a side bet on over 20.5 games.
