Ons Jabeur - Elena Rybakina: Form Analysis
Ons Jabeur will see this match as an opportunity for revenge. The Tunisian began strongly in that final but was unable to build on her opening set victory and lost in three. This was the first Grand Slam final of her career. To set up this replay, Jabeur defeated ninth seed Petra Kvitova in straight sets. Jabeur was in devastating form in the match and allowed the former Wimbledon champion just three games. It was the fifth victory for her on grass in seven matches on the surface thus far. Jabeur had in the early stages of the season seen her campaign disrupted by a knee injury that required surgery. Having missed a large portion of the hard court season, Jabeur returned to play on clay where she won one title. Her win-loss record for the season is currently 20-9. This will be the fifth encounter between the two players and the record is split at the middle with each player winning twice. Jabeur is still ranked sixth in the WTA. Advancing to her third successive Wimbledon quarterfinal however has moved her to 12th in the WTA race.
So far so good for Elena Rybakina in the defence of her title. She has also dominated the competition at the All England Club and has dropped only one set in her four matches. After being forced to come from behind in her tournament opener, Rybakina has won her last three matches without relinquishing a set. In the previous round, Beatriz Haddad Maia retired early during the first set. This gave Rybakina more time to prepare for this duel with Jabeur and she will be a bit fresher. Rybakina has been one of the form players in the WTA this season. The Kazakh began the year on a high as she made it to the final at the Australian Open. This opened the door to three more finals with two ending in victory for her. Her success has seen her break into the WTA top 10 where she is currently ranked third. This is also the position she holds in the WTA race. Rybakina has won 35 of the 43 matches she has played thus far.

Elena Rybakina to win the opening set
Rybakina is a strong starter in matches and in her last 10 fixtures, has lost the opening set only once. This isn’t quite the case with Jabeur who has lost the first set four times in her last 10 outings. With this in mind, our third prediction is for Rybakina to win the opening set in this match.
