Aryna Sabalenka is on course to win her second Grand Slam of the year. Not just that but a win here will take her top of both the overall WTA rankings but the Live Race too. This is her second consecutive Wimbledon semi-final. 2021 saw her go a set up on Karolina Pliskova but then drop the next two sets. Sabalenka has achieved a good consistency in Grand Slam tournaments and this is the fourth in a row in which she has managed to reach at least the semi-finals. Her only final appearance was in Australia this year where she won her first Grand Slam title. This year has seen her in dominant form at Wimbledon with only one set lpst. That was the opening one in her second round match against unseeded Varvara Gracheva. The quarter finals saw her beat Madison Keys for the loss of only six games. Sabalenka has played seven sets in which her opponent has failed to win more than three games. There has been four previous meetings between the pair and Sabalenka leads 3-1. Jabeur beat her on clay at Roland Garros in 2020 but Sabalenka has won the next three. That includes beating her in straight sets at Wimbledon two years ago.

Ons Jabeur played this tounament seven times until making it past the second round. The Tunisian has made up for that since then with a quarter final here in 2021 and being losing finalist to Elina Rybakina last year. A win here will take her into her third Grand Slam final but she's yet to win one. Jabeur began this tournament ranked sixth in the world but will need to win the title to move up the rankings. The 28-year-old didn't have a great warm-up for this event. Two grass court tournaments saw her fail to get past the last 16. It's been a different story at Wimbleon though for the Tunisian. Jabeur only dropped eight games in her first two matches. It was tougher in round three as she had to come from a set down to get past unseeded Bianca Andreescu. The last 16 saw her get a great win over ninth seeded Petra Kvitova, losing just three games, all in the second set. That took her into a repeat of last year's final and she went a set down to Elena Rybakina. Only five games were lost in the next two sets as Jabeur made it into the last four. This could be a tight match but we see Sabalenka as the likely winner.
