Seventh seed Ons Jabuer will face qualifier Olga Danilovic in the third round of the French Open on Saturday. Olga Danilovic has already set a new personal record at Roland Garros by advancing to this round. The Serb’s best-ever finish came last season when she made it to the second round. It was also the only time that she had qualified for the main draw. Danilovic has been in fine form in Paris and is yet to drop a set in the five matches she has played. She defeated Jasmine Paolini to book this round. Her run here has seen her return back to the WTA top 100 by moving up eight places to 97th in the live ranking. Before arriving at the French Open, Danilovic won the Open Villa de Madrid in the ITF Circuit.

Ons Jabeur has advanced from the third round twice but has never gone past the fourth round. She will hope this is the season it happens for her. The Tunisian had a rocky start to the season that was compounded by a knee injury that required surgery. This made her miss a chunk of the hard court season precipitating her drop in the world rankings. She returned as the season was switching to clay and has excelled on the surface. Jabeur won her fourth WTA career title in Charleston and has so far managed nine wins from 11 matches on clay. She has also not dropped a set in Paris and defeated Oceane Dodin in the second round. The win saw her move up one place to sixth in the live ranking. The winner of this match will play either Bernarda Pera or Elisabetta Cocciaretto, both unseeded, in the fourth round.
