Qualifier Caroline Dolehide has made it to the Guangzhou Open final and will play unseeded Olga Danilovic for the title. This is their third career meeting but the first as a championship match and below is our prediction for this tie. 

Danilovic defeated top seed Katerina Siniakova in the semi-finals in three sets. The win extended her current winning run to nine matches. 

This performance in Guangzhou has propelled her a massive 22 places in the live ranking. She is now placed 64th in the world which is a new career high. The 23-year-old has twice previously beaten Dolehide.

Caroline Dolehide is through to her second tour final. She lost in the final in Guadalajara last year and will hope for a more favorable result here. 

The American defeated Lucia Bronzetti in three sets in the semi-finals to secure this spot. She has now won six straight matches after starting her campaign here in the qualifying rounds. 

Advancing to the final has propelled the 26-year-old to 82nd in the live ranking. 

While she eyes her first title, Danilovic is seeking to end a six-year wait for a tour gong. The Serbian, who is in top form, claimed her only tour success in 2018 in Moscow.
