The Oklahoma City Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies will resume their NBA Playoff battle in Game 2 at Paycom Center on Tuesday. OKC lead the series 1-0 after winning the first match against the Grizz 131-80  on Saturday. Let’s get into the match prediction.

Perhaps calling Game 1 a “match” isn’t accurate. The Oklahoma City Thunder looked like men against boys over the weekend, demolishing their opponent by 51 points - the biggest margin of victory in Game 1 of a Playoff series in NBA history!

While the teams traded the lead for the first six minutes, there was no catching OKC once they moved into top gear. They notched up a 32-point lead by halftime and never looked back from then on. 

Perhaps the scariest part for Memphis is that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put up his lowest scoring output of the season (15 points), yet the team still managed to hand them a massive defeat. 

The Thunder were not only excellent in attack, though, as their defence strangled the Grizz and restricted Ja Morant to just 17 points on six of 17 shooting, while no other Memphis starter managed double digits. 

Additionally, the Grizzlies only converted 34% of their shots from the field and made a mere six of 34 from beyond the arc compared to OKC’s 50.5% field goal % and 17 of 48 from long range. 

Whether it was nerves or the hangover from the Play-In tournament, the Grizzlies need to get over it asap and bring back the Grit and Grind, or this series will likely be wrapped up in four games.
