The Memphis Grizzlies will be away to the Oklahoma City Thunder seeking to snap a four-game losing run in the NBA. The two teams are on opposite ends in the Western Conference standings with Oklahoma sitting second and Memphis third from bottom. The Oklahoma City Thunder got back to winning ways last time out by defeating Denver 118-117 to close out a two-game road trip. It was their 16th victory of the season and kept them three games behind conference leaders Minnesota. The Thunder have won eight of 12 at home and will be highly confident of winning this first-season matchup with Memphis. They won both meetings at home last season. Mark Daigneault’s men are averaging the fifth most points in the league with 120.4 and at home, this tally has gone up by 3.4. They are shooting 49% from the field and have five players averaging double figures in points. OKC could have Lu Dort unavailable for this game as he is managing an ankle injury.

The Memphis Grizzlies possess the third-worst record in the West which is also the fifth-worst record in the entire NBA. They have lost 18 of their 24 matches and at present are on a four-game losing run. Taylor Jenkins’ men were held to below 100 points in their last match as they fell 103-96 at home to Houston. They now begin a two-game road trip and will be excited by this as they have fared better away than at home. Memphis have registered five of their six victories away from home with four of those coming against fellow Western Conference teams. The Southwest Division franchise is averaging just 106 points a game which has them dead last in this category. This tally however significantly improves to 108.3 away from home. Memphis could be without seven players for this match. Luke Kennard, Marcus Smart, Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke and Derrick Rose are all ruled out due to injury. Bismark Biyombo is a doubt while the game comes too soon for Ja Morant. The all-star guard will see his 25-game suspension elapse a day after the OKC game.
