The OKC Thunder will welcome the Houston Rockets in their next outing in the NBA. They top the Western Conference and are 12 games clear of their fifth-placed visitors. Read on for our prediction of the match.

The Thunder have beaten the Rockets twice this season; once in the NBA Cup semi-finals. They lead this series 2-1, and have compiled a 49-11 record that is only bettered by the Cavaliers' 50-10 record in the entire league.

OKC, who play the Rockets on the second night of a back-to-back, defeated the Spurs 146-132 last time out. It was the sixth successive match in which they scored at least 128 points.

Chet Holmgren is out for this game, and so are Isaiah Joe and Ajay Mitchell.

The Rockets are seeking to tie this series and set themselves up to take the spoils in the final match at home. They won a close battle at home 119-116 back in December.

Ime Udoka’s men are coming off a 113-103 loss at home to the Kings. The loss, their ninth in the last 14 outings, snapped a two-match winning run.

This inconsistent run has the Rockets looking over their shoulder in the race for an automatic playoff spot. They have compiled a 37-23 record and are currently five games clear of the play-in places.

Fred VanVleet and Tari Eason are questionable for this game, while Cody Zeller is out.
