Only five weeks remain in the NFL regular season as we enter into week 14 with the 5-7 Las Vegas Raiders hosting the 6-6 Minnesota Vikings. Vegas will need to be near perfect in the run in if they are to sneak into a wildcard spot as they sit fourth in the AFC West with five wins and seven defeats on the season. Vegas is coming off back-to-back defeats to the Dolphins and the Chiefs, the latter of which finished 31-17. The Raiders largely played well against the heavily-favored Chiefs; Aidan O’Connell passed for 248 yards and a touchdown while Josh Jacobs added 110 yards and a score on the ground on 20 carries. However, they were unable to withstand a second-half onslaught by KC which saw the Chiefs outscore the Raiders 17-3. Scoring sufficient points has been a problem for the hosts all season as they rank 27th in points per game (16.8) and 29th in offensive DVOA (-16%).

The Vikings are likely looking at a must-win spot here as they head to Vegas with a 6-6 record and sitting second in the NFC North. Minnesota stumbled out of the gates this campaign, starting things off with a 1-4 record in the first five weeks of the season. However, a five game winning streak would jettison them right back into the playoff hunt. The Vikings have since lost two games in a row following narrow defeats to the Broncos and the Bears. They lost by a single point to Denver (21-20) and would fall by just two points to the Bears in an ugly 12-10 Thursday Night Football game. The Vikes quarterback sensation Joshua Dobbs faced his first major setback in last week's defeat as he threw for just 184 on 32 attempts with a cringe-inducing four interceptions. It will be interesting to see how the 28-year-old responds in this one.
