Novak Djokovic bids to make it two wins out of two in 2021 Grand Slams. After winning the Australian Open in February, he now takes on Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Roland Garros final. A win for the world number one will mean he's won each of the Grand Slams at least twice. Only once has he won at Roland Garros and that was five years ago. Rafael Nadal has been a thorn in his side in Paris but that all changed on Friday evening. He lost the first set of his semi-final but fought back to win the next three. It took over four hours to win the match but thankfully the fans were allowed to stay for the whole match despite the curfew. Djokovic hasn't been at his best in this tournament but as it has progressed, his form has improved. He always seems to do that and has only lost one of his last seven Grand Slam finals. A win here will see him go to the top of the one-year ranking points table, overtaking his opponent.

Stefanos Tsitsipas can climb above Rafael Nadal in the overall rankings if winning this final. He began the tournament in fifth but is already guaranteed to go up to fourth. He also had to go to the final set in his semi-final. It wasn't as gruelling a match as Djokovic had but he shouldn't have been on court for so long. He went two sets to love up on Alexander Zverev but then lost the next two before winning the final set 6-3. That was his third Grand Slam sem-final since 2019 but the first that he has won. He's lost five of his previous seven matches against Djokovic. He won two of the first three but has lost the last four. The last two were both on clay so not a good sign for the Greek player. Nor is his record against the best players in the game. Back Djokovic to win this match, a four-setter looks likely.
