Novak Djokovic vs Kei Nishikori Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Wimbledon Championships
by Steve Ashfield | in ATP Wimbledon Championships Predictions
Novak Djokovic has won the Men's Singles title at Wimbledon on three occasions and is looking to get back into the top ten after time out of the game due to injury. He hasn't reached the semi-final stage at Wimbledon since 2015 losing in the third round two years ago and then to Tomas Berdych in the quarter finals last year when he had to retire in the second set due to injury. He's been making steady progress back up the ranking list and has only dropped one set on his way to ths quarter final. Recently he made the final of the Queen's Club tournament and has been showing glimpses of his former self in this tournament.
He has to get past Japanese player Kei Nishikori who is the 24th seed for this tournament but currently ranked 28. Three years ago he was as high as number 5 but a wrist injury caused him to miss five months and he's also on the comeback trail. He reached the final of the Monte Carlo Masters this year beating two top ten players in Alexander Zverev and Marin Cilic but that was on clay. This is the first time that Nishikori has made it past the fourth round at Wimbledon and his best win has been over Nick Kyrgios who he beat in straight sets on Saturday. This looks booked to be a win for Novak Djokovic possibly setting up a mouth-watering battle with Rafael Nadal in the semi-final.

Our Novak Djokovic vs Kei Nishikori Prediction
Novak Djokovic has worked hard to get back into contention at Grand Slam events after his injury problems. He showed promise by reaching the final at Queen's prior to this tournament and has only dropped one set on his way to reaching this quarter final. He has shown glimpses of the play that led to him dominating tennis and should have far too much for his Japanese opponent.
