Top seed Novak Djokovic and sixth seed Holger Rune meet yet again in Paris and will square off in the quarterfinals on Friday. A semifinal showdown with either Alex de Minaur or Andrey Rublev will await the winner. Novak Djokovic lost to Rune in the final here last season and will be out for revenge. The world number one battled from a set down in the third round to get the better of Tallon Griekspoor. He has now won all three indoor hard court matches he has played and is on a 15-match winning streak. Djokovic, who is a six-time Paris champion, defeated Rune the first time they met, which was two seasons ago.

Holger Rune has won the last two meetings with Djokovic. The latest one was the greatest of all for the young Dane as it helped him earn his only Masters 1000 title. He will hope for a third successive victory against the Serb to help him on his quest for back-to-back titles here. Rune, who has had a rocky couple of months, is yet to drop a set at Accor Arena. He has lost six games in each of his two matches and defeated Daniel Altmaier to advance to this round. The four-time tour champion has now won five of his last six matches though despite this, has dropped in the live ranking. Rune, who is in contention for a spot in the ATP Finals, is down to eighth place.
