Novak Djokovic vs Gael Monfils Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Dubai Open

Novak Djokovic is the top seed for this tournament in Dubai and is on course to win another title. He takes on Gael Monfils in the semi-final who has never beaten his opponent. Djokovic saw the chances of him winning this title improve when Roger Federer withdrew from the tournament. He is yet to taste defeat this year and has won 16 matches in a row. January saw him lead Serbia to the ATP Cup and he then won the Australian Open. Djokovic has only dropped sets in three of his 16 victories in 2020 and none this week. He's had wins over Malek Jaziri, Philipp Kohlschreiber and seventh seeded Karen Khachanov, all for the loss of just 11 games and looks in unstoppable form. Djokovic beat Monfils in the ATP Cup last month losing only five games. His career record against the Frenchman is a staggering 16-0.

Gael Monfils has won two tournaments this year winning in the Open Sud de France and Rotterdam. However, the highest ranked player he beat to win those titles was Felix Auger-Aliassime, ranked 21st at the time. Just like his opponent, Monfils is yet to lose a set this week. He's had wins over Marton Fucsovics, Yasutaka Uchiyama and Richard Gasquet. This is a massive step up for him and with his opponent in top form, the tip is for Djokovic to win in straight sets.
