Novak Djokovic has made it to the Wimbledon semi-final without any real threat to his title. He takes on Denis Shapovalov in the last four, knowing he has never lost to his opponent. The winner of this match takes on either Matteo Berrettini or Hubert Hurkacz in the final. Djokovic has already won two Grand Slams this year, not since Rod Laver in 1969 has the same player won the first three of the year.  He's chasing his sixth Wimbledon title (and a third in a row) and it would be his 20th Grand Slam win, taking him level with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. There's little doubt he will hold the record all by himself sooner rather than later, 2021 US Open perhaps?  He's only lost one set on his way to the last four. That was the first one he played at this year's championships. He's at six out of six against Shapovalov and in those matches he's only lost two sets.

Denis Shapovalov knows what it is like to win a singles title at Wimbledon. That was the boys' title in 2016 but until this year he hasn't transferred that success to the senior event. This is the first time he's got past the second round at Wimbledon. He had a good preparation this year with a last eight and semi-final in two grass court tournaments. There have been two five-set matches on the way to this semi-final. At this stage of a Grand Slam. Djokovic tends to go up a gear or twe. Go for under 35.5 games in this match.
