Novak Djokovic vs Daniil Medvedev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Australian Open

Novak Djokovic is bidding to win his ninth Australian Open title. He takes on Daniil Medvedev who is yet to win a Grand Slam but is knocking on the door so loud, they can probably hear it back in Russia. Djokovic has won this title for the past two years but faces a tough battle here. We're not sure just how close he is to be 100% fit. Earlier this week he said that if this hadn't been a Grand Slam tournament, he'd have withdrawn. The Serb has dropped four sets on his way to this final. That included a five-setter against Taylor Fritz in the third round. Wins followed against Milos Raonic and Alexander Zverev to take him into the semi-final. He had qualifier Aslan Karatsev to beat in that match and he defeated the world number 114 in straight sets. 

Daniil Medvedev is in his second Grand Slam title and has a great chance of winning his maiden title. The second half of 2020 saw him reach the US Open final and then go on to win the Paris Masters and the ATP Tour Finals. That good form has continued into 2021 with a series of great wins. He beat three top ten ranked players in his unbeaten run that helped Russia win the ATP Cup. Two more top ten players have been beaten in this tournament with victories over Andrey Rublev and in his semi-final, Stefanos Tsitsipas, His last 11 games against top ten ranked players have all been won. He also has a good record against Djokovic winning three of seven matches. However, he lost the first three and since 2019 has won three out of four, the most recent being a straight sets win at the ATP Tour Finals last December. He must be full of confidence and can get the win here to land his first Grand Slam title.
