Novak Djokovic vs Andrey Rublev Prediction & Betting Tips - Rolex Paris Masters

World number one Novak Djokovic will face off against fifth-ranked Andrey Rublev in the semi-final of the 2023 Paris Masters on Saturday evening. The winner of this match will move on to face either Grigor Dimitrov or Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final on Sunday. These two have met on five previous occasions, with Djokovic leading 4-1. The Serbian comes into this match following a hard-fought quarter-final encounter against Holger Rune that went to a third set. That followed another three-set win in round two against Tallon Griekspoor. Those results have taken Djokovic to 52-5 for the year and 30-1 on the hard surface. His only loss on the hard court this season was way back in February at the Dubai Open. The Serbian is now on a 15-match winning streak which includes back-to-back titles at the Cincinnati Masters and the US Open last month. Unsurprisingly, the world’s best player is the clear favourite in this match. 

Meanwhile, Rublev was also involved in a three-set quarter-final. He took on Australian Alex de Minaur and had to come from a set down in order to progress. That followed more straightforward matches against Botic van de Zandschulp and Yoshihito Nishioka in the first two rounds. The Russian has also been in good form of late, though he has not won a title since July in Bastad. Rublev reached the final at the Shanghai Masters and the semi-final in Vienna last month. He was beaten by Hubert Hurkacz and Jannik Sinner, respectively. The world number five has fared better on the clay this season, with a record of 19-5 compared to 23-12 on the hard surface. Notably, his only win against Djokovic was also on the clay, while he lost his three hardcourt encounters against the Serb.
