Just how fit is Novak Djokovic going into this Australian Open quarter final. He takes on Alexander Zverev for a place in the semi-finals but has an abdominal injury. The world number one has said he's only continuing to play because this is a Grand Slam. Even so he has managed to make it to the last eight but not in his usual dominant fashion. Djokovic has already lost four sets in this tournament. Two of those were lost in his five-setter against Taylor Fritz in the third round. Djokovic battled away in the last sixteen to get a win over Milos Raonic in four sets but can he continue to get the wins when not fully fit? Before this tournament, he won two matches in the ATP Cup and one of those was over Alexander Zverev. That was a tough match though after he dropped the first set to the German. He now has a 5-2 record against his opponent in this quarter final.

Sixth seeded Alexander Zverev is looking to continue the good form he showed in Grand Slam events last year. After only reaching two quarter finals, while winning plenty of other tournaments, he finally did better in 2020. He reached the last four here and then lost in the US Open final to Daniil Medvedev. This year didn't start too well for the German with only one win in three ATP Cup matches, including that loss to Djokovic. He has showed better form in this tournament though and has only dropped one set to date. That was in his very first set of this Australian Open against Marcos Giron. He has knocked out 23rd seeded Dusan Lajovic and Adrian Mannarino, the number 32 seed. One feature of his matches has been long sets. He's been in three tie-breaks and one 7-5. With doubts over the fitness of Djokovic, this could be a long match. Go for over 40.5 games to be played. A side bet on a tie-break in the match looks worth a go.
